STAMPtember 2021 Tim Holtz Collaboration

Hey friends! I am so super excited to be sharing the Christmas Card I made with the new Tim Holtz Stamptember 2021 Stamp and Stencil set. This set is so beautiful with wonderful sentiments. It is definitley a must have. If you are new to Stamptember it is a yearly event at Simon Says Stamp where each day in September they release a new stamp set which is exclusivley callaborated with many wonderful stamp companies. They are one and done and they sell super fast so if you like it I would get it quick.

Knowing I wanted a galaxy background here is what I pulled out to start with. My cardstock of choice for this project was Distress Watercolor paper.

I placed the solid circle in the lower left side of the corner using sticky grid and started blending with picked raspberry, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon, chipped sapphire and black soot. After each layer I used my distress spritzer and sprayed water on the cardstock to get the ink to blend and add texture. Drying with my heat tool after each layer.

After I was happy witht the intensity of the colors I punched out some circles and started adding a bit of a bokeh effect using the same colors and added SSS White pigment ink. After I was done I spritz with water and dried it with the heat tool.

I went ahead and added the moon stencill using hickory smoke archival ink. Stamped on some images from 2 of my favorite stamp sets from Tim Holtz Faded Type and Etcetera using black soot archival ink. I wanted a bit more texture so used collage medium crackle on some edges of the panel. My favortive part is always adding splatters . I used mica sprays flickering candle, hocus pocus, snow flurries, winterberry and Dina Wakely white acrylic spray.

After the collage medium had completely dried I went over the crackle with picket fence crayon to make the cracks show up more. I embossed some stars from the TH set Christmastime 3 and the sentiment from the new STAMPtember set. Love all the sentiments in this release.

I colored the santa and reindeer with copics . I used the copic glitter pens to add sparkle to the sleigh and santa’s toy sack. After fussy cutting the image I ended up using the xacto knife to get into the little spots in the sleigh and reindeer, wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be and I didn’t loose any fingers :D.

To finish up the card I popped up the image onto foam tape and the panel on fun foam. The full card size turned out to be 41/4 X 5 1/2. Looking forward to making many more cards with this gorgeous set.
