Hello friends, so excited to be stopping in with Simon Says Stamp to share a card using the brand new Tim Holtz stunning stamp set Floral Elements CMS445. I love the loose outlined flowers making it so easy to paint and not having to be perfect and looks so good when it blends outside the lines.
I took some distress cardstock and cut the sheet in half giving me a 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 piece size. I layered a few of the gorgous stamps from Floral Elements CMS445 onto the panel and inked with ranger embossing ink and embossed using extra fine alabaster white powder.
After embossing all the floral images I lightly sprayed it with 2 of my favourite combos speckled egg and antique linen to create a subtle bit of color in the background.
Using distress inks I loosely painted all the flowers. In between each layer I would spritz with water to let the ink blend and go off the embossed image. I continued doing a few layers till I got the look I was going for.
I wanted to get some of the images from Eccentric CMS448 into the background. I inked up the images using pumice but only stamped the 2nd generation on the panel since I only wanted the image to be in the background. After the panel was dried I started adding on some splatters of the same inks I used in the images and added on perfect pearl as well.
I cut down the image using TH deckled trimmer and roughed up some of the edges and rubbed them with vintage photo and added a bit of collage medium crackle.
To finish off the card I layered the panel onto black kraft-stock and popped it up on a base using fun foam to add dimension and a fun sentiment.
